About TerraNava

A technical organisation for water, territory and specialised cooperation

TerraNava exists to strengthen technical and institutional capacity around water, basins, territorial risk, adaptation and applied training. Its role is to contribute tools, criteria and structured readings that help institutions make stronger decisions in Europe and Latin America.

Landscape associated with basins and water management
Institutional profile

Technical reading and applied cooperation

TerraNava combines hydrological diagnosis, territorial reading, methodological transfer and open tools to support institutions with clear and defendable technical work.

What it is

A technical NGO dedicated to water, basins and territorial decision-making

TerraNava starts from a simple premise: there is no serious territorial development without a material understanding of water, hydrology, infrastructure and exposure. The organisation therefore works where hydrological reading, territorial criteria and public usefulness overlap.

Principle 01

Technical rigour

Diagnoses and proposals rely on verifiable criteria, hydrological reading of territory and methods that can be openly discussed.

Principle 02

Institutional usefulness

Technical work matters only if it improves real decisions, orders processes and leaves practical capacity behind.

Principle 03

Cooperation with foundation

TerraNava favours stable frameworks, sober language and approaches adapted to each territorial context.

Mission

To strengthen technical capacity in water management and territorial risk

TerraNava supports institutions, organisations and technical teams that need a clearer understanding of water, basins, flood risk and the tools required to intervene with territorial judgment.

Geographic scope

Europe and Latin America

The organisation is designed to work across European and Latin American contexts without losing territorial sensitivity or institutional sobriety.

Primary interlocutors

Institutions and technical networks

Public administrations, universities, territorial organisations, cooperation actors and specialist teams are TerraNava’s natural working environment.

Mode of work

Diagnosis, transfer and tools

Work is organised around diagnosis, methodological support, training and instrument-building for planning and public decisions.
